E3 2014: Mortal Kombat X brings the pain with a brand new gameplay trailer

I will admit that up to this point, not much announced at the E3 conferences really got me hyped. I am excited for a lot of games and I am extremely excited for whatever that extreme sports title from Criterion Games is but still, nothing really got me pumped. That was until the Sony conference where they revealed the first gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X and oh my god, I had the biggest nerdgasm ever.

For those who don't know, Mortal Kombat is my favorite videogame franchise of all time and I have been anxiously awaiting any news from E3 about MKX. The game looks incredible. It's dark and brutal, exactly what a Mortal Kombat game should be.

In the trailer we see fan favorites Scorpion and Sub-Zero battling it out but we also got a glimpse of two brand new characters as well. The first character is a woman who also seems to be a bee, and the other is a giant dude wearing some kind of mask as a small child hangs on his back. These are some of the best new fighters I've seen added to the game in a long time and I cannot wait to see who else joins the cast.

Finally, we got a glimpse of the Fatalities in the game and they look as brutal as ever. If you look carefully during the Fatality presentation, we also see a small glimpse at another brand new character as well.
