This 9-minute campaign trailer for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare delivers basically what you'd expect from the series. Endless military jargon, linear level design, giant action setpieces that will be exciting to play through exactly one time. I've never been a big fan of the series but something did pique my interest here: this level happens during a full-on invasion of Seoul, South Korea. That could make the plot all kinds of tasteless and uncomfortable considering today's international climate. I just hope it isn't as moronic as the "Russia invades America!" nonsense we got in the Modern Warfare series. The near-future scifi hovercraft and hologram-equipped guns look cool pretty cool, though.
