SMITE is getting a small patch this week and with it brings the brand new "Dark Whisperer" skin for Ah Muzen Cab. The Dark Whisperer skin is a complete graphical and FX overhaul for the character is Hi Rez's take on the legendary HP Lovecraft character, Cthulhu. It comes with a custom voice pack as well and they are both incredible and continue the amazing streak of skins that Hi Rez has released in the past few months.
Also included with the patch is a custom voice pack for the Blind Vengeance Nemesis skin. I listened to a preview of the voice pack on the weekly patch notes stream for SMITE and it's pretty amazing.
Finally, in some sad news, the Night Prowler Bastet skin is being removed from the game for the time being. If you bought the skin you will be refunded for the purchase.
Here is the official statement from the patch notes...
Night Prowler Bastet has been removed from the game while aspects of the skin are reworked. Our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Everyone that purchased Night Prowler will be refunded the gems from the purchase.
If I had to guess, I would assume that Hi Rez got a lovely cease and desist letter from DC Comics.
