Sony changes rules of Driveclub PlayStation Plus upgrade

When Driveclub was announced Sony promised that some form of the game would be available for free to PlayStation Plus members. Earlier this week it was announced that PS+ members would be getting a limited version of the game with one location, eleven tracks and ten cars. For $50, you can upgrade to the full version of the game, but if your PS+ ever runs out you need to pay another $10 to play the game again. Many fans were understandably upset by this extra $10 charge, so today Sony announced they will be removing the $10 charge. Now all you need to do is buy the $50 upgrade and you can play Driveclub forever. Or you could always buy a physical copy and avoid all of these digital charges.

As someone who recently became a PS+ member I'm willing to try anything that is given to me for free. It will be interesting to see if the PS+ version of Driveclub will convince many people to get the full version.
