More On: Guardians of Middle Earth
Have you ever wanted to fight a war as a Hobbit? Then you might want to pick up Guardians of Middle Earth, because a new character called Hildifons has just been revealed by Warner Brothers. Perhaps more excitingly, Arathorn, father of Aragorn as well as Sauron were revealed as well.

According to the press release, Hildifons is a warrior Hobbit who uses fire and "sulfuric concoctions" to thwart his enemies and will be useful if a player is trying to secure lanes. Arathorn is a ranger who uses a bow to inflict damage form a distance, but uses a sword to great effect when in close combat. Then of course there is Sauron, who is massive and powerful...I think that is all that needs to be said about him.

There is even more good news, for Hildifons and Sauron will be playable at the 2012 PAX Prime show in Seattle today, so be sure to check out their both if you are there.

Mike previewed the game earlier this month, so be sure to check it out, and if you would like more information head on over to Guardians of Middle Earth's website.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today has released two new Battle Profile gameplay videos for Guardians of Middle-earth. The first Battle Profile features Hildifons, a resourceful Hobbit who can kindle fires and create explosions from almost nothing and Sauron, the ultimate embodiment of evil in Middle-earth. The second Battle Profile gameplay video includes Aragorn’s father, Arathorn and Runsig, who were revealed for hands-on play earlier this month at GamesCom.

The Hildifons and Sauron game characters in Guardians of Middle-earth will be available for hands-on play to attendees of the 2012 PAX Prime show in Seattle, Wash. beginning Aug. 31, alongside eight other playable characters including Gandalf, Legolas, Gollum, Galadriel and Sauron.

From Aug. 31 though Sept. 2, the Guardians of Middle-earth Pro-am tournament at PAX Prime will take place, where gamers can play the new game as they compete against multiplayer online battle area (MOBA) pro players including Dan Dinh (@EpikGamer),  Lyubomir “Bloodwater” Spasov (@CLG_BloodWater) and Sam “Milkfat” Braithwaite.
Guardians of Middle-earth is a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Monolith Productions, set to be released in fall 2012 on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network. The console-based MOBA offers more than 20 iconic guardians including Gandalf, Sauron, Gollum, Galadriel, Legolas and many more for players to control in PVP arena battles. Gamers will have the ability to connect with other players via an in-game voice communication system, as well as access to a comprehensive online stat and leader board system where they can track friends’ victories and defeats, and more.
