looks like a mecha-suited update to the classic alt-chess game,

sounds like an acne-medicated infomercial,
Zoids Assault is bringing "an intense covert military campaign in the middle of a tense cold war." The video, however, doesn't make it look like "covert" is the tactic du jour, and the "cold" war is looking far beyond greasy politics and arms races.
