The folks over at
Free60.org are trying to put Linux on the Xbox 360. Now, Microsoft has said they've
done a lot to try and prevent hacks that made the original Xbox so
popular. With that said, this
documentation page
lists a few of the security schemes that the 360 employs. I like how
the CPU is a big part of checking to make sure everything's kosher. If
not the Xbox 360, "panics and blows up!", as the documentation page
states. The information is from "someone on IRC" so there's not telling
if this is all true or not. if it IS all true, I will pay money to see
that happen.
