XFX Challenge 2007 Partners with All Games to Produce a 7-Episode Series and Launch Into Phase 3
Players Must Defend Their Spot in Each City on the XFX Ultimate Gaming Tour Bus
Ontario, CA – (October 26, 2007) XFX, the industry leader in high-performance video cards, kicks off Phase 3 of the XFX Challenge (www.xfxteam.com), a contest to find the next great American pro video gamers. During Phase 3, the top seven gamers travel from city to city, defending their spot on the XFX Tour bus at local LAN centers. The team will travel to El Dorado Hills, San Jose, Fontana, San Diego, Las Vegas, and finish the tour back in Los Angeles on December 6th, at the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) 2007 World Championship.
Each Monday of the six-city tour, the seven XFX Team members are given an assignment or task by a professional CGS gamer. During the week, the XFX Team will work on that assignment, along with competing in a challenge on Wednesdays, for $700 in cash and prizes. On Friday, the professional CGS gamer will return and rank each XFX Team member on how they performed on a 1-7 scale. The player ranked number one will be the team leader for the next week. They will also get to choose one teammate who will have to compete in the King Of The Hill challenge the following day and defend their spot on the XFX tour bus.
Along the tour, All Games Productions (www.allgames.com) will document the entire challenge via 24-hour lifecam and chat at www.justin.tv/allgames and produce a 7-episode series. Each week a new episode will be posted on www.xfxteam.com. “Professional gaming has exploded and the XFX Challenge is the perfect opportunity to document amateur gamers pursuing their dream to become pros,” said Scot Rubin, founder of All Games Productions.
Because of their dedication to gamers, XFX Challenge 2007 wants to send out a special thanks to NVIDIA, Creative Labs, Newegg.com, G8 Brand gamer clothing, All Games, and Dell, who is also a sponsor of Championship Gaming Series.
