Watch the anarchy that is thousands of people trying to play one game of Pokemon.

As of this writing, it's been just shy of two days since TwitchPlaysPokemon launched. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but a game of Pokemon is streaming on Twitch that's controlled by the chat window. The game only obeys the commands up, down, left, right, A, B, start and select.

It's an amazing thing to watch, just for the insanity of it all that leads to something resembling order. Nietzsche would be proud. Thousands of people screaming directions and buttons all at once, single people trying to convince the masses which direction RED needs to walk and which move to use. Watching him navigate Kanto is kind of like watching Octodad try to become a Pokemon master.

In the twenty minutes I've been watching, Red has saved the game, turned Bill from a Pokemon into a human, and tried to walk through a door. You can watch the stream and get in on the fun here.
