WWE All Stars introduces Fantasy Warfare

by: Jeremy -
THQ has released yet another trailer for the upcoming WWE All Stars showing off a new mode in the game. The new mode is entitled Fantasy Warfare and puts players through a gauntlet of fantasy match-ups between today’s biggest stars and yesterday’s legends.

The premise of the game has always been pitched as being the greatest matches that never happened, but this new mode looks to put it in a clearer perspective. The Fantasy Warfare mode pits the characters of the game together in what would undoubtedly be a wrestling fan’s dream card. Each matchup is based on the personalities and styles of the characters involved and are given “theme”-like titles. Some examples from the game are:
  • Perfectly Awesome: Mr. Perfect vs. The Miz
  • Innovative Offense: Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. Kofi Kingston
  • Ruthless Agression: Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka vs. Kane
  • Most Charismatic: “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. John Morrison
  • Greatest Big Man: Andre the Giant vs. The Big Show
  • Biggest Superstar: Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena
While the match titles aren’t included, other matchups shown in the trailer include the Ultimate Warrior vs. Sheamus, CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Edge vs. Bret Hart, and the one that I would personally love to see more than any other, Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Randy Orton.

We only have a few short weeks remaining before he get to answer the questions posted above to ourselves...
