Sega has announced the next two games from the Dreamcast era that will be resurrected in HD for the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Both
Sega Bass Fishing and
Space Channel 5: Part 2 are on deck to be released next Spring.
Just like the previous “Dreamcast Lives” releases of Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi, both titles are being “remastered” in 720P with added Achievement and Trophy support. I completely get
Space Channel 5‘s selection, but the choice to release
Sega Bass Fishing baffles me. I really, really enjoyed the original Dreamcast title, but 99% of the joy in that game went with the stellar fishing controller that Sega had crafted at the time. Almost all of the charm of the title is lost without that specific controller.
