The folks at ngmoco have apparently been busy getting ready for the iPhone 3.0 OS. Earlier we posted that Star Defense had received a fresh coat of paint, and now Topple 2 also is getting optimized for the new 3.0 features and functionality. Unlike the multiple updates for Star Defense, Topple 2 is getting a single one, but it is huge for those of us that enjoy solo gaming. Effective immediately, players will be able to customize their game by using their entire iPod playlists during gameplay. This has been available for some time for many games on Xbox Live, so seeing it added to this medium is another step in the right direction. Topple 2 is currently selling for $2.99 on the iTunes App Store.
ngmoco Announces Topple 2 Update Now Available on Apple App Store

Award Winning Topple 2 Brings Full iPod Music Functionality to the iPhone and iPod touch

San Francisco – June. 17, 2009 – ngmoco (http://www.ngmoco.com), creator and publisher of games exclusively for iPhone and iPod touch, today announced a new Topple 2™ (http://topple2.ngmoco.com) update is available on the Apple App Store. The latest update, version 1.3, integrates with amazing new iPhone OS 3.0 features by bringing iPod music playlists into Topple 2.

“ngmoco is excited to include iPhone OS 3.0 functionality in our award winning Topple 2,” said Neil Young, CEO and Founder of ngmoco. “This update will give users more control of their iPod music and is a perfect follow-up to our previous social and game-play expanding updates.”

iPhone OS 3.0 will give developers more control and functionality to personalize their games for the ultimate iPhone and iPod touch gaming experience. The latest Topple 2 update will allow users to have full control over their iPod music playlists so they can stack to their own groove.

Topple 2 version 1.3 follows previous updates which allowed users to send multiplayer challenges through Facebook and Twitter and allowing users to see other player’s scores from around the world and have a chance to compete directly with them.

Building on the fast-paced gameplay mechanics introduced in Topple, the innovative Multi-Touch user interface and accelerometer technologies of the iPhone and iPod touch challenges users to balance and stack fun, playful Topple blocks without tipping over.

In Topple 2, players take on all-new challenges and new game modes, experiencing over 30 different levels and six brand new Topple worlds. Upside-down mode inverts gravity for a topsy-turvy play experience while Balance mode weighs two towers against each other. Power Tower mode challenges players to construct a power line using conductive blocks, and Rescue mode integrates tower building skills to save the precious golden egg.

Armed with all new skill sets, Topple 2 introduces two unique ways for fans to play and enjoy the game with their friends. Players can go head-to-head in a real-time multiplayer “stack attack” over WiFi. Or, if a player is on the go, they can simply send “ghost” play-through requests for friends to accept challenges at their leisure. With free play versions of all game modes and the ability to challenge and play with friends, Topple 2 will delight players of all ages time and time again.

Topple 2 is available for the price of $2.99 from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at (http://appstore.ngmoco.com/topple2).
