I admit to not owning a PS3
. But I love baseball and a chance to talk about it is worth it, even though I currently cannot experience the euporia of turning a $300 console into a $200 cable box. Nevertheless, I'm here to talk about MLB.TV
streaming games through PS3 at exactly the same price as what you can do it for over the web or probably via OnDemand.
I don't really get WHY you'd do this, unless you don't have a computer or a cable box. Then again if you have neither one of these, exactly how you're getting broadband internet might be called into question. Anyways, for $99 to $119, you can watch MLB.TV
live streamed games over your PS3
. I recognize that there are additional features, such as selecting the half inning of a current game you want to watch or having your favorite team be the first team listed on the scoreboard.
It says this is free to current MLB.TV
subscribers who own a PS3
, and I assume if you were going to sign up anyways, there are some things that would add value. Not enough IMO to make doing it through the PS3
the "must have" way to do it.
Unless they start letting your decorate your home with MLB stuff. Probably just a matter of time, and while you wait read the press release after the jump.
