Looking at Sega's blast-from-the-past compilation,
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, a stack of screenshots have been revealed for
Comix Zone as well as
Golden Axe II and
Golden Axe III, three of the games appearing within the comp. Also, just for trivial pursuit, here's some fun facts from these classics sent along by Sega:
- Comix Zone's score was composed by Howard Drossin, who previously wrote the music to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles.
- Golden Axe II was a Sega Genesis exlusive title and it didn't orginate as an arcade game.
- Golden Axe III was originally released only in Japan. The release on this compilation is the first time it's available in stores in the US and Europe.
