A few of the Thecus nas I've reviewed were kind of low on power in terms of what drives it. Using low cost or mobile CPUs, they did a great job at what they did. Well, here's a NAS with some horsepower behind it. The Thecus
N7700SAS is a 7-bay NAS powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and also has 2GB of ram. You get the traditional features that the other Thecus NAS devices has as well but this time it's got a good CPU to back it up. One of the great things about the Thecus devices is the ability to add modules to extend functionality of it. With a Core 2 CPU I want to see some more powerful applications being built to take advantage of the CPU onboard.
