Stormrise website launched

How is a website "launched"? Shouldn't the phrase be "posted" after all that's the acceptable term for most online content. My meager musings aside for a moment, Creative Assembly along with Sega have "launched" the new website for Stormrise the studio's first crack at an RTS and one that will come out on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 sometime next march. There's not too much on the site so far but there is a cool sound track playing and the story of how humanity in their rush to devlope technology to prevent their exstinction had almost garunteed it. What better day to launch the Stormrise website than on a dark and stormy day in San Francisco. Head over to the Stormrise website now and check out the plethora of information, screens, videos, and concept art from The Creative Assembly Australia’s first console RTS game.

 

Stormrise features a clever and innovative way to navigate and select battlefield units called “Whip-Select”. This system allows fast and accurate navigation around the battlefield, negating any mouse and keyboard advantages.

 

Stormrise is slated for a March 2009 ship on the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Until then, head to the website and check the storm that’s about to rise and be on the look out for more updates to come.
