I've been using Windows 7 on a few laptops the past month and it's a pretty damn solid OS even though it's a release candidate. I just had to revert my development laptop back to Windows Vista though because of some lingering issues left and I'm already missing it. Stardock, publishers of
Sins of a Solar Empire and
Demigod want you to switch as soon as possible though. They cite a few reasons such as better performance and some good features that will help older computers utilize some more advanced graphical features by utilizing the CPU. I'm going to convert my gaming computers this week to Windows 7 and do some testing but if my experience with my laptops are any indication, then I'm going to have a pretty smooth and good experience with the new OS.
