There's trouble brewing in Northern Middle-earth.  Snowblind Studios is working hard to make sure we are a part of it.  The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is an action-RPG which involves a human, elf, and dwarf partnership. As always, the fate of the known world is at stake.  The trailer released today shows off plenty of action (and ugly enemies) so why not take a few moments to give it a watch?

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North will be released on PS3, 360, and PC next year.

“The ring-bearer’s quest continues toward Mordor, but to the North, a great army awakens…You must go North to face this darkness.”

Take your readers on a treacherous journey through the ravaged lands of the North with the first gameplay trailer from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s upcoming Action/RPG The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. The future of Middle-earth lies in Fellowship and the special power of three formed by partnership between human, elf and dwarf-- the only hope for this unknown place. Witness first-hand as this brutal, untold story of Middle-earth unfolds in an action-packed trailer sure to inspire your readers to join the fight.

Developed by Snowblind Studios, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North introduces players to the Northern reaches of Middle-earth, in a realm where survival depends on Fellowship. Featuring online, interdependent co-op play for up to three players, gamers join forces to do battle with the enemies of this world, while developing and upgrading weapons, skills and abilities to strengthen their party. The Lord of the Rings: War in the North also breaks new ground as the first The Lord of the Rings video game to embrace the mature and brutal combat of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth - forcing players to play together or perish!
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is slated to launch on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Games for Windows in 2011. For more information please visit the official site at: www.warinthenorth.com
