The news isn't THAT big in one sense in that
Final Fantasy III is already on the Android system. But, Square Enix is one of the first third companies to
pledge support for the
OUYA with the announcement of this title and future titles to come.
Square looks like they're going to optimize the title for the console so that probably means tweaking of the controls and perhaps some Tegra 3 optimizations. You could probably install the current version from the Google Play store, but this announcement should mean some tweaks that are system specific.
So with Square in the console's corner, who's the next third party company that will announce support for the console that's taken Kickstarter by storm? And with this announcement, is your level of skeptism less, more, or still the same?
