Spike TV VGA’s worth watching just for the reveals

The Spike TV VGA’s are just a week away from airing on television. The show, which is often ridiculed and mocked by the diehard gamers throughout the industry, has gotten more bearable over the years... and hopefully the 2010 installment will continue with that trend.

Even though many consider the awards themselves to be a joke, the show is often worth watching just for the high profile game reveals that occur throughout the event. This year looks to be especially interesting in that department as Jeff Keighley has been quoted on Twitter as saying that we can expect at least 10 world premieres. The rumor mills have been working overtime the past couple of weeks and many titles are popping up on the list(s) of possible titles making their public debuts at the show.

Here are just a few of the titles that many are expecting to be revealed during the show:
  • Gears of War (new, Kinect based title)
  • Mass Effect 3
  • Prototype 2
  • Resident Evil: Raccoon City
  • Resistance 3 (gameplay)
  • SSX (new installment in series)
  • Uncharted 3
The awards ceremony will be held on December 11, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA... so expect plenty of title announcements over the course of the next week...
