Rockstar today released a brand new video showcasing Max Payne 3
's innovative multiplayer modes. The first one is called Gang Wars and is sort of a story-based multiplayer mode with branching plots and shifting objectives, depending on what happens. It will also feature Max Payne's signature feature: Bullet Time - but it only works for enemies within the player's line of sight. It will be interesting to see how that pans out. Team death match and time dialation powers don't seem like they should fit together.
The second mode is called Payne Killer and it really is a play on words rather than lame homophone-based punnery. Payne Killer sees two players assuming the role of Max Payne and his sidekick Raul Passos. It's every other player's job to kill them. When one of them falls, the player that put him down gets to assume his character and suddenly finds him or herself on the recieving end of all those bullets.
