Sam Suede shuffles onto unannounced platforms

by: Sean Colleli -
More On: Sam Suede in Undercover Exposure
Courtesy of Icarus Studios and Apogee, the once-dead Sam Suede will be getting new life on undisclosed platforms, although it's a safe bet he'll be on the PC at least. Sam might sound a bit like Leisure Suit Larry, and that's no coincidence--Larry creator Al Lowe worked on the original 2006 project before his iBase studio went under.

The game, titled Sam Suede in Undercover Exposure, is billed as an action comedy, which certainly sounds a lot like the raunchy and sarcastic exploits of Larry Laffer. No word on when the game will be released, but hopefully it will be funny and enjoyable in its own right. Maybe it's time for a new swinger to take the mantle from Larry--after all, Al Lowe himself disowned the more recent (and terrible) Leisure Suit Larry games. It's just a shame that Lowe probably isn't involved with the Sam Suede project anymore.
