THQ had two big reveals for Saints Row The Third
today. The first is that they've partnered with Penthouse to use some former Penthouse Pets as their "Quality Assurance Team". I'm not sure about the ladies abilities to find and track down bugs in the game but THQ is guaranteeing that the team will be making sure that customers will be happy with the final product and that they will be posing with folks at Comic Con this week. If there was a way up from E3's bikini car wash this was certainly it.
The second reveal is a brand new trailer which shows off some of the plot of the game including the mysterious Syndicate who looks to be the big villain in the gang. There's also some good footage from the game which seems to now have a nice cel-shaded look to it.
THQ INTRODUCES SAINTS ROW QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM, PRESENTED BY PENTHOUSE
Penthouse Pets Heather Vandeven, Justine Joli, Heidi Baron, Shay Laren, Ryan Keely, and Nikki Benz dedicate themselves to complete customer satisfaction.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – THQ (NASDAQ:THQI) and Volition, Inc.® announced today that Penthouse Pets Heather Vandeven, Justine Joli, Heidi Baron, Shay Laren, Ryan Keely, and Nikki Benz will comprise the new Saints Row® Quality Assurance Team. Dedicated wholly to complete customer satisfaction, the Saints Row Quality Assurance team promises to ensure a satisfying Saints Row experience whether playing alone or with a friend.
“We personally handpicked this QA team and the Penthouse brand based on a number of key factors: their passion for Saints Row; their sense of style and Saints Row attitude; and above all, their desire to give every player a unique, over-the-top, unforgettable experience,” said Greg Donovan, lead producer, Saints Row®: The Third™. “In the end, their selfless efforts are going to put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces.”
Vandeven, Joli, Baron, Laren, Keely and Benz have been such a boon to development that THQ and Volition will release a special downloadable content pack in Saints Row®: The Third™ inspired by the QA team – a rare homage to the dedicated developers charged with quality assurance.
“QA is typically thankless, where a good job rarely garners recognition. Well that ends today,” said Scott Phillips, lead designer, Saints Row: The Third. “With the passion our QA team puts into this labor of love, a DLC pack is the least we can do.”
The Saints Row Quality Assurance Team will be attending at Comic-Con in San Diego this week in support of Saints Row: The Third, posing for pictures and signing autographs at the Saints Row booth, number 5145.
