March is shaping up to be one very busy month for video games. We have sports games, first-person shooters, new games in the Dynasty Warriors
franchises, and one other PlayStation 3-exclusive title that should not fly under your radar in Yakuza 4
As with the previous games in the series, Yakuza 4
will have a combination of exploration, combat, and optional games and activities that are cleverly wrapped up inside of a new storyline in Tokyo. Expect a lot of butt-kicking as players will assume control of different characters and abilities for the first time in the series. In addition, the visuals have received a significant overhaul this time around, plus hostess clubs return after being left on the cutting room floor in non-Japanese versions of Yakuza 3
Speaking of hostess clubs...
If you preorder Yakuza 4
prior to its release on March 15th
, you'll receive a code for a special Dynamic Theme for your PlayStation 3 when you pick it up. This theme will shift between three different hostess clubs and ten different ladies while you decide which game (or video) to play next.
Look for our full review of Yakuza 4
next month. In the meantime, if you haven't downloaded it already, remember that there's a short demo for Yakuza 4
that showcases the fighting styles of each of the four characters in the game. If you like what you play, then go ahead and put a preorder in. I know I have already.
