RE: The Mercenaries 3D shows off the 3DS muscle

The one game that I have not mentioned this week that was shown off at Capcom’s Captivate in Miami is Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for Nintendo’s 3DS. The new handheld take on the series brings the non-stop action of Resident Evil 4 and 5‘s Mercs mode in a fresh, portable package.

Mercenaries 3D lets players play alone or with friends, online and off, in timed runs through remastered stages from both RE4 and RE5 in the boots of series staples such as Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, and many others. Players will also experience the addition of skill shots and abilities which can be unlocked throughout the gameplay experience. This may be the one title that sells me on Nintendo’s new system and looks amazing; Capcom has really done wonders in porting the MT Framework onto the new platform.
