Apocalyptic First Person Shooter From Whiptail Goes Gold

West Chester, PA, March 1, 2005 Whiptail Interactive (Postal 2, Gangland) announced today that its apocalyptic first person shooter, PsychoToxic, has gone gold and is on target to ship in the second week of March. Developed by Nuclearvision, this futuristic first person shooter takes gaming to a whole new level with its fast-paced action and outlandish dream worlds that have to be seen to be believed.

PyschoToxic casts players in the role of Angie Prophet, Earth s last line of defense from total destruction. The year is 2022 and the evil Reverend Crowley has poisoned the world s water supply, sending its denizens into a state of mass hysteria. Through all of the confusion, Crowley has set into motion a plan that will summon Death in the form of the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, and rain hell upon Earth. It s up to Angela to stop him before he can complete his plan and bring chaos to the land.

All of the action is fast and frenzied as Angie does battle with more than 90 different enemies across 29 levels, including eight unique dream stages. Along the way she ll encounter a number of unique weapons such as the Udder Cannon and a grenade launcher that fits into the palm of her hand. Special Angelic Abilities allow Angie to heal, become invisible, slow down time and enter people s minds where she can save them from their own nightmares. As the action intensifies, players will be treated to a visual spectacle as objects are tossed and strewn about thanks to the Trinigy Vision Graphics Engine.

Here are just a few of the things that the press has been saying about PsychoToxic:

It just has to be seen to be believed.

&the dream levels are where the game really separates itself from the rest of the pack.

Where other shooters deal with either demon zombies or police, PsychoToxic provides an all-in-one smorgasbord, then adds even more for good measure.
