The latest installment in the Prince of Persian series, entitled Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
will be hitting pretty much every conceivable platform on May 18, 2010. The newest game on Jordan Mechner's classic franchise will hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Wii on that date courtesy of Ubisoft. The Wii version is being billed as a completely different and separate title than its HD counterparts.
Aside from being developed separately, the Wii version of Prince of Persian: The Forgotten Sands will also contain different features as well. Unlike the Xbox and PS3 version, which will be single player adventures, the Wii version will sport a 2-player cooperative mode as well as having an extra "gift" packed onto the disc. The classic 16-bit version of Prince of Persia will be included with the game. It is worth noting that his will mark the first time that the series has branched into the multiplayer realm.
