Prepare yourself for Dark Souls

by: Sean Colleli -
If you got into the utterly sadistic gameplay of Demon's Souls then you'll be happy (or terrified) to hear that Namco-Bandai is working on its spiritual sequel, Dark Souls. There aren't a lot of concrete details yet but it's supposedly just as brutal as its predecessor, with many of the same RPG and dungeon crawling mechanics. Pre-ordering the game gets you the collector's edition, which includes an art book, strategy guide and a free download for the game's soundtrack. The game ships in October, which gives you plenty of time to train up on Demon's Souls and replace any snapped controllers you incur while doing so.
