Atari is offloading some more of its IP and this time Nordic Games is picking up the tab. Nordic just acquired all intellectual property rights to the Silver
franchises. I don't recall much about Desperados--apparently it was a set of two stealth-based strategy westerns released in 2001 and 2006. I do remember Silver though, it was a pretty popular cult RPG back on the Dreamcast.
It might be sad to see Atari losing some more of its history, but it's always better to have a new company trying fresh things with dormant IP. It's better than letting them molder away in some portfolio somewhere. Now if only we can convince Microsoft and Rare to offload some of their properties that they apparently have no interest in ever using again, so maybe we can get a new Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie or Jet Force Gemini game.

Desperados are stealth-based real-time tactics computer games, developed by Spellbound and released in 2001 and 2006, respectively. The protagonist is a knife fighter and gunslinger, John Cooper. As Cooper sets off on his different quests, he is aided by some of his trustworthy companions.
Silver, released in 1999, is an Action RPG for Microsoft Windows, Dreamcast and Macintosh OS. The game was produced by Infogrames initially for Windows, and later on the Dreamcast. The story focuses around a young warrior called David and his quest to retrieve his wife from the clutches of the villain Silver. On his journey he gains a number of followers and visits many different landscapes.
