No, Microsoft isn't moving to a real money system, sticking with points

One of the things I wished Microsoft would do for the Xbox Live Marketplace is to go with real currency rather than showing how many Microsoft Points a product is. I understand their point of view and it's not that big of a deal to me, but it would be nice.

A little glitch yesterday showed real money prices for some Avatar items and that set off a slew of folks wondering if they were moving in that direction. Well, Microsoft has come out and said it was a glitch and that they aren't moving away from the Points system.

Still, it's nice to see that if they ever do decide to do away with the Points system, it wouldn't be hard to show how much an item would be in real world currency.
