New Call of Duty World at War Zombie footage released/GGL Competition announced

With the release of the Call of Duty:World at War Map Pack 2 today we've got two new goodies for you.  The first is that the GGL folks are having a new competition where you can win up to $2,500 in cold hard cash.  All you need to do is sign up and follow the rules and regulations for the competition.  Registration is now open and closes on June 23rd so sign up early if you are interested.

The second goodie is the new trailer for the game which shows off some of the new weapons in the game and more importantly the new stuff in the zombie Nazi fighting mode. 
GGL Global Gaming Announces Worldwide Tournament for New Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 2

Los Angeles, June 11, 2009 – On the heels of the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 Tournament where more than 30,000 competitors battled for bragging rights and prizes, GGL Global Gaming, one of the world’s largest community networks for gamers, today announced the new Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 Tournament . Fans of Activision and Treyarch Studio’s exclusive first person shooter game will now be able to compete on a worldwide playing field.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 tournament will allow gamers to compare scores, share tips and go to battle in three team categories: Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag game modes. The tournament will incorporate the three new combat zones central to the new DLC Map Pack, a jungle map featuring a waterfall (Banzai), a beat up train yard (Corrosion), and a bombed-out sub base (Sub Pens).

Registration for the practice ladder opens June 11th at 9:00am EST and will run through June 23rd. Competitors will then move into the tournament ladders on June 24th to compete for positions in the bracket, which will run from July 22nd to August 9th. The top 64 teams from each ladder in the competition will advance to a single-elimination bracket to determine the ultimate champions. To join the open ladder, participants can log on to http://worldatwar.ggl.com and complete the online registration form.

The order of finish in the Xbox 360 and PS3 ladders will determine prizing, with all participants getting the chance to win a share of cash prizing and limited edition Call of Duty: World at War zombie t-shirts.

· First Place: $650 for each squad (1 squad from the Xbox 360 Competition, 1 squad from the PS3 Competition)

· Second Place: $300 for each squad

· Third and Fourth Place: $150 for each squad

· Fifth through Eighth Place: 4 Limited Edition T-Shirts featuring Zombie level perk items for each squad (ARV: $20 per shirt)

Once registered, players will be asked to link their accounts to the Call Of Duty: World at War website as part of GGL’s unique tournament platform, designed to help gamers easily interact with others and organize their entire gaming lives across all consoles and game titles.
