Netflix now streaming on iPhone and iPod Touch

More On: iPhone OS Netflix
This morning I was greeted with word that the Netflix App that allows streaming video to your iPod Touch or IPhone was finally released to the AppStore. While the App itself isn’t new (it is the Netflix iPad App reconfigured to all iPhone OS devices), it does add one more device or opportunity to catch up on your favorite Netflix videos. It is free, and all you have to do is download and sign in.

The features include your Instant Queue, Genre lists, search and top suggestion and the ability to add any streaming video to your Instant Queue. I tested it this morning with a snippet from a Season Five Episode of American Chopper and I can tell you that it not only looked great, but sailed smoothly from my Wireless N router to my 2nd Gen iPod Touch without any hitches.

One other cool thing is that it does not appear to take up one of your four “authorized devices” slots on your Netflix account. So your PC, Wii, PS3 and 360 should be safe from getting bumped in favor of your iPhone.
