Need for Speed hits 100 million units sold

EA announced that Need for Speed officially surpassed the mark for 100 million units sold, putting their sales at $2.7 billion. Read on for some of the stats of the franchise.

This year, the PS3, 360, PC, PSP, Wii and DS all got a taste of the Need for Speed franchise including Need for Speed SHIFT, Need for Speed NITRO releasing in November, and Need for Speed World Online being released under beta in Taiwan and to be open to the public in fall 2010.

This year, there are three titles being launched under the Need for Speed franchise. SHIFT is available on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PC, and PlayStation®Portable system.
