The MMO Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
is about to get its first expansion pack. It's called Rise of the Godslayer
and we received some new details about it today. Set in the empire of Khitai, Rise of the Godslayer
contains a new continent, playable race, quests, items and more. Basically, you'll get everything expected from a typical MMO expansion. If you read the news from last month
, you already knew that and were able to look at various media on two areas.
Two videos were also released today for different places you'll be able to visit. The first is about the Gateway to Khitai. It's basically an "eastern land" that contains a great wall with different architecture, armor and landscapes. Check out the footage for it here:
Next comes the area called Kara Korum. A desert of black sand, Kara Korum has giant beasts and a stench of decay. The Crater nearby seems to be the source of "alien" feelings that pervade in the surrounding areas. Here a quick video showing off the local scenery:
There is no release date for the expansion yet, so we'll certainly be hearing more about it soon. For now, I hope the two videos and this massive amount of screens and artwork will suffice! Oh, and you can also check out the web site by clicking here
