Midnight Club: Los Angeles expansion definitely, maybe, hopefully, probably coming out today

More On: Midnight Club: Los Angeles
I hate to be a pessimist, but I wouldn't be surprised if Midnight Club: Los Angeles' first big expansion pack doesn't actually hit the Xbox Live Marketplace today.  Owners of the game already know that this free/pay expansion pack set in South Central has already been delayed once, going from March 12th to today.  However, as of 6 am Pacific Time, this Midnight Club: Los Angeles has yet to show up on the marketplace.  Could it be a short delay, or will Rockstar Games announce another last-minute delay?  I guess we'll have to wait a few hours for either Rockstar Games or Microsoft to comment.

If you haven't been keeping up, South Central is a brand new area of Los Angeles made specifically for Rockstar Games' popular street racer (see: my review of Midnight Club: Los Angeles for the Xbox 360).  This setting will be free for anybody who owns the game, however, for those who want the full experience, Rockstar Games will be offering an optional $10 expansion pack that features new cars and radio stations.  As a fan of the game I'm definitely excited about the idea of memorizing a brand new area and then taking them online, so it bums me out that I can't bring you an early morning hand's on preview.  Either way, South Central is bound to show up sooner or later.  Right?

Most Xbox Live Marketplace updates go live at around 2 am Pacific Time, so it seems a little odd that South Central was nowhere to be found.  I'll make sure and update this news post the moment this Midnight Club: Los Angeles expansion goes live.

UPDATE: As of the writing of this update (8:00 pm Pacific Time) the PlayStation 3 version of this expansion pack is out, however there is still no sign of it on the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Rockstar Games has come out and apologized, saying that it would be as soon as possible.  Does that mean in a few hours, a few days ... March 19 of 2010?  I guess we'll find out sooner or later.
