Microsoft publishes paper on improving accuracy and lag of Kinect

Microsoft might have something to help improve the speed and accuracy of Kinect, two which sorely need improving. While I think Kinect is a pretty cool technology, the lag and speed really hinders me from going in and playing more. Microsoft did some tests and created a data tree that could be used to improve the process.

With the data, Kinect could use it to estimate joint positions quicker and eliminate the need for calibration, which would be pretty nice. The time it would take now would be 5 milliseconds, which is said to be a ton faster than it currently does.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants this implemented, like now, but let's hope it's not too far off. And can we get some Kinect game releases? Really.
