Metacritic announces their most anticipated games of 2010

by: Tina -
Metacritic is like the holy bible to some gamers, and an encyclopedia of the industry and games to others. With a whole new year with which to game, reminisce, and criticize, Metacritic is just as ready as we are.

What a better way to get riled up by the upcoming releases for the year than to take a peak at Metacritic’s list of the most anticipated games of 2010. They’ve even conveniently partitioned their editorial feature into multi-platform titles and platform exclusives.

There’s really no surprise here, as they’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head mentioning titles that make me squirm with anticipation. Damn you, Metacritic! I know they’re coming soon; you don’t have to flash trailers and descriptions my way. They’ve also reminded me how much time I’ll be putting aside for gaming, making this an almost shameless list. This will surely soon be an admittance letter to Gamerholics Anonymous for many of us.

Even so, 2010 looks to be an exciting year with already several highly reviewed releases (Bayonetta, Darksiders) and others soon approaching (Mass Effect 2). Hit the jump for the full list of their choices, and let us know if they’ve missed anything you’re antsy about.
