Ken’s Rage getting a price adjustment on DLC (in Japan)

More On: Fist of the North Star
Gamers who may have picked up Tecmo’s Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage may have noticed that the title has some ridiculously expensive downloadable content. This isn’t just in the U.S., the additional costumes, characters, and scenarios have been just as overpriced in other regions as well. Fear not, Tecmo has taken notice...

Tecmo has started the process of slashing the prices of the DLC in Japan, a trend that will hopefully make its ways to other regions as well. The dev was charging, on average, 300 yen (~$3) for a single character costume pack, 800 yen (~$8) for additional characters, and 100 yen (~$1) for special scenarios / missions. Effective immediately (again, in Japan), those prices have been marked down drastically.

Both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game have seen drastic reductions with costumes being marked down to 1/3 of the original price, characters to 1/4 of the original asking price, and all scenarios marked down 50%. I, for one, sincerely hope that this trend makes its way to the North American marketplaces as I would love to buy some of the extras for the game, but refuse to pay the current asking prices...
