Justice League, best cartoon on TV, gets a game

If you're not watching Justice League Unlimited on the Cartoon Network, shame on you! Well, Warner Bros. has announced they are going to make an RPG based on the hit show for the PS2 and Xbox. So the game features the core six. Why six? Some doofus decided to put in Zatanna for Hawkgirl. Excuse me?!?! Za-frickin-tanna in place of Shayera? I can't wait for an explanation on that one.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Announces an All-New Videogame for the Justice League of America; DC Comics Super Hero Role-Playing Game Scheduled for Release in 2006

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 2005--Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the production of the "Justice League of America" videogame, based on the DC Comics super heroes, for the Sony PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Microsoft Xbox(R) video game system. Set for release in fall 2006, the "Justice League of America" game will be a super hero action role-playing game.

"We are excited to announce a videogame that will bring the legendary super heroes of the 'Justice League of America' to the next level for gamers," said Jason Hall, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "The innovative and highly engaging combat system in the 'Justice League of America' game will capture the strength and appeal of the characters, offering players a tremendously fun and rewarding experience."

Featured super heroes will include Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna. Each super hero will possess unique super powers that are character-specific, creating a variety of fighting styles for players to utilize while battling the forces of evil. Gamers will have the power to bring classic super heroes of the "Justice League of America" to life, customize their skills and engage in one-to-two player cooperative combat throughout interactive and destructible environments.
