Can more than 2.7 million people be wrong? That's the number of people that participated in the Halo: Reach
beta on Xbox Live. An interesting figure in the press release say that over 16 million hours of online gameplay was logged during the two-week beta period. Holy cow.
Bungie and Microsoft also announced that Halo: Reach
will be available on September 14 (September 15 in Japan). It's nice that they gave Halo fans early notice in order for them to schedule time off of work and/or school. With huge demand for the beta, I imagine we'll see some record breaking Xbox numbers that month, especially with three different editions of the game priced at $59.99, $79.99 and $149.99.
