Halo 4 is now gold

The first non-Bungie Halo game is almost here and today it was confirmed by 343 Industries that Halo 4 has gone gold status. Gold status means the code is complete and ready for production. 

With a little over a month to go for release, it sounds like they did a fabulous job at squashing all the major bugs and fine tuning all the features. That or they are at a good stopping point for the discs to be manufactured and will just issue a zero day patch to fix any minor issues.

Congrats to 343 and I'm sure a lot of eyes will be on you to see if you can continue the success that Bungie started with the franchise. There's got to be a ton of pressure taking over a series as beloved as Halo and trying to do it justice. Let's hope they succeed.
