Guitar Hero II to get effects pedal?

Apparently, the U.S. manual for Guitar Hero II for xbox 360 identifies a port on the bottom of the Gibson as a connection for an effects pedal. However, it says that the feature is "currently unavailable". Maybe an add-on for the future?
