There are times when I feel like we have seen the bottom of the barrel when it comes to game ideas. I mean, how hard is it to own real hamsters that you need a game like Petz: Hamsterz
, let alone Petz: Hamsterz 2
But as seems to happen on a regular basis, I am proven wrong. Today, we got word that someone (505 Games
) is making Grease: The Game
. Didn't these folks see the movie Grease 2? I understand someone maybe making a slot machine out of this title, but 55 year old women don't seem like a target market, even for the Wii
. I'm not sure who they're targeting for the DS
, but there must be some niche market they feel they can make money off of.
I'm going to do my best to reserve judgement. I like music games, and this movie is full of classic songs., I just can't see how this will work. Who knows, maybe they'll be a mini-game where you get to make fun of Frankie Vali for wearing such tight pants. That'd certainly be worth the purchase price alone.
