It seems as if all forms of entertainment are really starting to merge. Movies based on video games, video games based on comic books, TV shows based on movies. It's all coming together. So it was only a matter of time that video games started using stage play terminology to identify additional content releases. Grand Chase has been doing it for a while.
Act 2 will provide a revamped item creation system, implement a card collection system, and add a new dungeon. Sure, I'm not a big fan of collectible card games getting rolled into other system; but to developers I guess it's all about what content brings and keeps gamers entertained. I'm not sure which gamers are entertained by this, but I guess there are some.
