Going back to her origins in Tomb Raider

Square announced today that a new Tomb Raider is coming out but it's not going to continue Lara Croft's saga. Instead, we're going to experience her origin story as you go on an adventure that defines her.

So does this mean we're going to have a very pedestrian Lara Croft in terms of abilities? Lara can do many flips, jumps, and is an expert marksman so I wonder how Crystal Dynamics is going to incorporate the early days of Lara and still make it fun.
