by: Jeremy -
More On: Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard
Gameloft is bringing the Rainbow Six series to theiOs platform next week in the form of Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard. The new game from the Tom Clancy series will be available for both the iPhone and iPod Touch on March 17, 2011.

The iOs entry in the series boasts many of the same features that have made it popular on the various platforms we have seen it on previously. Players will be able to play with their friend in both competitive and cooperative multiplayer matches both locally and online. The cooperative mode(s) supports up to 3 players while the competitive modes will support up to 10.

As you can see in the announce trailer below, the game looks fantastic on Apple’s mobile devices. It is amazing to me how far mobile gaming has come over the course of the past few years; the titles being released now days are rivaling the offerings of gaming-specific handhelds such as the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. I don’t think it matters what platform you are playing on, gaming is gaming and more games is a good thing...

The price point of the game has not been announced.
