MTV2 was a decent station before MTV decided to migrate some of the crap from the mother station over to it (does the world really need that many more showings of "Real World"?). The one bright spot has been their machinma music video, Video Mods. A new episode will be airing tomorrow night at 10:00 with the highlight (for me at least) being a music video of "Mr. Brightside" using characters from Lineage II. Click below for all the gory details.

Newly Recreated Music Videos by Queens of the Stone Age, Taking Back Sunday, The Used and The Killers, with Indigo Prophecy, Silent Hill, ,

SWAT 4, and Lineage II: The Chaotic Circle

New York, NY – August 24, 2005 – Breaking the boundaries between the worlds of video games and music, Video Mods airs a brand new episode on MTV2, Friday, August 26th at 10:30 PM ET. By mixing some of today’s most popular video games and characters with the latest music videos and artists, each episode of Video Mods represents a breakthrough in entertainment by providing an entirely new experience for music and video game fans alike.

On deck for tonight’s episode of Video Mods: Queens of the Stone Age’s “Little Sister” is recreated with Indigo Prophecy, Taking Back Sunday’s “This Photograph Is Proof” is overhauled with Silent Hill, The Used and their song, “Take It Away,” is featured with SWAT 4, and finally, The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” reconstructed with Lineage II: The Chaotic Circle. In addition, tonight’s episode will also feature cool video game inspired interstitials.
