Final Madden 13 Playbook released!

Madden 13 is almost here and EA has released the final playbook which details Madden Ultimate Team & Madden NFL Gridiron Club.

In Madden Ultimate Team players can utilize the free-to-play mode to earn, buy, auction and trade players to build an ultimate team of past and present players. Another edition to Madden Ultimate Team is the inclusion of solo challenges. Players can challenge current NFL teams as well as teams of the week. Some examples are to try and recreate an amazing performance from Arron Rodgers or try to challenge Calvin Johnson, Jr. from running wild. You can also unlock legendary players such as Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith and more.

The other addition is the Madden NFL Gridiron Club which is a free loyalty program that awards players for playing specific EA Sports titles.  Games in the Gridiron Club include, Madden NFL, NFL Street, NFL Tour and others.

July 11, 2012 –EA SPORTS has announced the final feature playbook for Madden NFL 13, “Madden Ultimate Team & Madden NFL Gridiron Club”, is now available on the Madden NFL 13 Playbook page. In Madden Ultimate Team, gamers will have the chance to utilize this free-to-play mode to earn, buy, auction and trade players to build their ultimate team of NFL legends past and present. Fans can utilize Madden Ultimate Team to merge their all-time favorite NFL players in order to create a true digital dream team.

New Cards and New Ways to Enhance Your Collection

When gamers begin Madden Ultimate Team, they can select a star player to serve as their team captain and will be given that player’s training camp card. Those who downloaded cards featuring the first round picks of the 2012 NFL Draft will also be able to carry those rookies over into this year’s edition of Madden Ultimate Team. Rookie cards will be updated throughout the season to reflect the real-life performance of this year’s brightest prospects. In addition, the auction process has also been completely overhauled to give users more freedom when buying and selling cards.

Solo Challenges and Legends in Connected Careers

New to this year’s edition of Madden Ultimate Team is the inclusion of Solo Challenges, single-player matchups that require players to use all their skills in order to succeed. Fans will be able to challenge current NFL teams, as well as a highlighted Team of the Week based on each week’s biggest stories and top performers. Replicate an amazing performance by Aaron Rodgers or try and stop Madden NFL 13 cover athlete Calvin Johnson, Jr. from running wild on your secondary. Ultimately, Solo Challenges will provide a wealth of content for Madden Ultimate Team fans.

Devoted fans will also be able to unlock legendary players in Madden Ultimate Team and then play as those same NFL greats in the brand new Connected Careers mode. Hall of Famers like Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and more can all be unlocked in Madden Ultimate Team and then utilized in Connected Careers.

Madden NFL Gridiron Club

Madden NFL Gridiron Club is a free loyalty program that rewards fans for playing EA SPORTS NFL specific games. Madden NFL Gridiron Club will provide fans awards based on how members spend their time with any EA SPORTS NFL title, including Madden NFL, NFL Street, and NFL Tour, among others. Madden NFL Gridiron Club will also serve as the central hub for fans to easily access weekly Madden NFL content releases such as roster updates, Madden Moments Live and pro gamer tips.
