Final 007 Legends mission is Goldfinger

More On: 007 Legends
And here we have it 007 fans. Goldfinger is the final mission to be announced for 007 Legends. Now we all know which Sean Connery movie they decided to modernize into the Daniel Craig continuity, and to be honest it makes sense. Goldfinger is probably the most action-packed of the Connery movies, and while I'm curious to see how Thunderball's jetpack and underwater battles might have been updated, Goldfinger arguably has the most iconic elements and scenes from Connery's tenure and of the entire Bond franchise.

Everything that has practically become cliche about 007 is in Goldfinger--the Aston Martin ejector seat, classic henchmen like Oddjob and Pussy Galore, Bond strapped to a gold sheet about to be lasered in half--and by extension, all of that is in the 007 Legends mission as well. All in all I'm pretty happy this is the Connery film they decided to adapt, although I could see it coming a mile away. Dr. No is more of a classic spy thriller and doesn't work well as a game, while From Russia with Love was already turned into a very good video game by EA a few years back. You Only Live Twice is fun but a little...embarrassing, and Diamonds Are Forever just isn't epic enough. Again, Goldfinger just makes sense.

Goldfinger joins Moonraker, OHMSS, License to Kill and Die Another Day in 007 Legends to build one huge Bond story arc, supposedly capped off with a mission based on the new movie Skyfall. As a 007 diehard I'm pretty hyped about this game, especially after Eurocom did such a great job updating GoldenEye a couple years back. Check out the trailer below to relive some classic Bond moments, modernized into the current Bond movie series.
