Eragon Game Drags In It's Hollywood Counterparts

The upcoming book-to-film-to-video game, Eragon, will feature the voice and likenesses of the would-be Harry Potter usurpers.  The cast is composed of Edward Speleers (the main character Eragon), Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Garrett Hedlund (Friday Night Lights, Troy, Four Brothers), and Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty).  The game comes out November 14th, a full month before the December 15th theatrical release.

Sierra Entertainment and 20th Century Fox announced today major talent for the upcoming blockbuster film Eragon will reprise their roles for upcoming Eragon video game. The video game will feature the voice and likenesses of Edward Speleers, Sienna Guillory, Garrett Hedlund and Robert Carlyle from the movie.

 

This star-studded cast will be headlined by newcomer Edward Speleers voicing the main character Eragon, a young farm boy who discovers that he is destined for greatness as a dragon rider. Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) will voice Arya, an elf who is saved by Eragon from King Galbatorix. Garrett Hedlund (Friday Night Lights, Troy, Four Brothers) voices Murtagh, a mysterious figure who becomes Eragon’s unlikely ally.

Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty) voices Durza, a powerful shade who controls the Urgal army.

 

In the video game, players will live the legend as Eragon, and with Eragon’s mighty dragon Saphira ride into epic battle against an evil king’s sinister forces. Gamers will be able to realize the ancient destiny of the Dragon Riders and save Alagaėsia from falling further into darkness. Eragon will overpower foes with a deep combat system, utilizing devastating magic attacks, and join forces with Brom or Murtagh at any point in drop in/drop out co-op mode.

 

The Eragon video game will ship nationwide November 14th on Xbox™ 360, PlayStation®2, Xbox®, Game Boy® Advance, PSP™, Nintendo DS™, mobile and PC followed by the feature film that will open in theatres nationwide on December 15th.
